Participants in recent violence will face justice: Attorney General

Addis Ababa, October 21, 2016 (FBC) –The Federal Attorney General Getachew Ambaye said individuals who had participated in the recent violence occurred in some areas of Amhara and Oromia Regional States will face justice.

In a press conference he gave here yesterday, Getachew said ringleaders and coordinators of the violence in particular will be brought to justice as per the emergency rule.

However, those who took part in the disturbance innocently, emotionally and with various support will be released after investigated as well as receiving education and counseling service.

Following the state of emergency declared on October 8, stability and economic activities are returning back to normal in areas previously affected by the unrest, according to Getachew.
