Somalia to host IGAD summit on South Sudan crises

Somalia’s Federal government had announced it will host a high-level IGAD summit in the conflict-riddled seaside Mogadishu by next month, marking the 2nd of its kind in two years.

Somalia was given the opportunity to host the summit of the heads of states of IGAD heads during a meeting in Addis Ababa on Friday. South Sudan Crises will be top on the agenda.

According to a statement from the president’s office, the upcoming IGAD’s heads of states summit in Mogadishu, will focus on ways to bring an end to the conflict in South Sudan.
